Front Porch: Artist in action
Artist in action
If you want to check out an artist in action, watch Andy Eccleshall as he paints a mural as part of this year's Edmonds Mural Society project in downtown Edmonds.
Eccleshall will be painting "The Brothers" on Friday, with the goal for completion on Sunday.
Eccleshall is donating his stipend for the mural, along with any other donations, to the OI Foundation, which raises awareness and money for research for brittle bone disease. Eccleshall's son has the disease.
He will be painting on the south side of Main Street in downtown Edmonds. To see his other work, go to www.andyeccleshall.com.
Police chief with historians: Mukilteo Police Chief Rex Caldwell and Officer Cheol Kang are scheduled to speak at a meeting for the Mukilteo Historical Society.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the Fowler Room at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave. in Mukilteo.
Caldwell and Kang plan to talk about law enforcement in Mukilteo and to offer crime prevention tips.
The meeting is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
Police plan career fair: The Mill Creek Police Department is planning a career fair for current and aspiring officers.
The fair is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the police department at 15728 Main St. in Mill Creek.
People interested in becoming a cop in Mill Creek are encouraged to attend.
