See a free showing of 'Winged Migration'

The winter birds are back in town, trumpeter swans, snow geese and snowy owls. To celebrate their arrival and learn more about them the Adopt A Stream Foundation and the Snohomish County Parks Department present a free screening of "Winged Migration."
The acclaimed documentary will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday on the big screen in the NW Stream Center at McCollum Park.
The French film by director Jacques Perrin follows the migration patterns of birds all over the world, with stunning footage by the crews who used gliders, balloons and helicopters to capture the scenes from a bird's-eye view.
The movie is intended for middle-school students to adults and, although free, make a reservation by calling 425-316-8592 as space is limited.
The NW Stream Center is at 600 128th St. SE, Everett. To learn about other Adopt A Stream events go to www.streamkeeper.org.
