Roberts’ bill on extended foster care passes House

A bill that state Rep. Mary Helen Roberts sponsored to provide foster care services to students beyond high school has passed the House of Representatives.

The bill would allow students in college or other post-secondary education to get foster care services.

Roberts represents the 21st Legislative District, which now includes Lynnwood, Mukilteo and most of Edmonds, but, after redistricting, will no longer include Lynnwood and reach south Everett.
